After years of planning and months of construction we are very pleased to report that we have completed this phase of our Phoenix Temple Expansion Project. Our new two-story Fellowship Hall contains approximately 10,500 square feet and includes a main fellowship hall, commercial kitchen, expanded bookroom, lending library, Sunday school and restrooms. The new building was designed to work in conjunction with our expanded patio and offer flexible options for a variety of indoor and outdoor functions.

We cut the ribbon on our new building at a Dedication Ceremony held on Sunday, September 10. This beautiful, moving and inspiring ceremony was conducted by Brother Vishwananda assisted by Brother Balananda and Bramachari Lynn.

What a beautiful evening of fellowship and inspiration on October 7th! We enjoyed a delicious India meal and had what many called a "mini-Convocation", listening to uplifting talks by Brothers Achalananda, Santoshananda, Ritananda, Jitananda, Balananda and Bramachari Lynn. We were greatly entertained by a "Yogi Detective" skit by the teen group and enjoyed mingling in our new Fellowship Hall and spacious patio -- all on a lovely night under the Harvest Moon.

After the beginning of the new year, we plan to move forward with planning for the next phase of our project. We anticipate this phase will include upgrades to the interior of the Temple building and enhancements to the Central Avenue frontage. More detail on "Phase II" will be presented as plans develop.

Our financial goal has been to fund the new facility as well as make improvements to our existing Phoenix Temple building. Thanks to your generous donations, we have been able to achieve our goal of building the new building as well as to reserve some funding for Temple building improvements.

However, we continue to welcome your donations, which will be applied to interior and exterior improvements to the Temple Building and grounds. This work is planned to begin next year.
